Welcome.

As the talk about the implementation of a mandatory carbon emissions reduction system grows in the US, it is becoming increasingly apparent that some sort of mandatory system will be created.

Whether this is a cap and trade market-based system, or a carbon tax, there is a clear indication amongst policy makers that the US will most likely align itself with UN and UN-sponsored IPCC protocols to assist in tackling climate change, and subsequently improve it international image and drive innovation in low/no carbon technologies.

This site has been created with the purpose of providing readers background, useful sources, and (my) thoughts about the development, implementation, and trade-offs of various greenhouse gas reduction strategies from the perspective of an eco-engineering geek.
